Rules & Regulations for Hauled in Waste

Logan MUA

1) A Hauler registration form must be completed for each truck that will dispose at the Authority. 

2) A copy of the current NJDEP registration card, certificate of liability insurance, and a copy of automobile insurance if not included on certificate of liability. The LTMUA will not accept any loads with expired NJDEP decals or no proof of insurance.   

3) Prior approval must be given for industrial and holding tank wastewater before disposing. 

4) A septage approval number/code for each company will be given for septage only.  This does not permit industrial waste.

5) The Authority does not permit the mixing of holding tank wastewater and industrial wastewater without prior written approval.

6) The Logan Twp. MUA has the right to inspect every truck prior to disposing. 

7) The Logan Twp. MUA does not accept any F.O.G (Fats-Oil-Grease), categorical waste, or hazardous waste in any forms.  If the Logan Twp. MUA suspects the dumping of F.O.G or hazardous waste, your truck will undergo inspection.  If F.O.G., categorical waste, or hazardous waste is found, the Authority possesses the right to deny the disposing of said waste.  The Authority will call NJDEP; at which point, the Authority will no longer accept any waste from the hauler.

8) All outstanding invoices must be paid within 30 days of invoice date. If the payment is not paid in full, the Authority will no longer accept waste from the hauler until the account is brought current.

    10) The Authority accepts septage from Logan Twp. residents at a reduced rate of $.01 a gallon. The following documentation must be attached to the manifest:

    • Copy of receipt showing the discounted rate and it must be signed by the homeowner
    • Phone number and address of the homeowner

    11) All hoses are to be provided by the hauler. The LTMUA has 4-inch hookups. At no time will the Authority give a hose to a hauler.

    12) If the hauler spills any amount of waste, they must notify plant personnel immediately and clean up before leaving the property.

    13) The Authority bills gallonage based on the following method:

    • Tank capacity of truck
    • Weight prior to picking up the load minus the weight of the load (certified weight tickets must be present with Date and Time, copy given to the Logan Twp. MUA).
    • Measure the level in the tank with a tape measure and provide the LTMUA with a tank chart for that tank from the manufacturer.
    • The Authority does not accept the use of site glasses and gauges on the tank to verify the tank.

    14) The Logan Twp. Hours of Operation are as follows:

    Monday to Friday7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    Saturday and Sunday7:30 AM to 11:00 AM
    Holidays*7:30 AM to 11:00 AM

     *If the Holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on a Friday, if the Holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on a Monday. Holiday hours are subject to change. Click here for the Holiday Schedule.
