Sealed Bids for the Logan Township Municipal Utilities Authority (LTMUA) Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Electrical System Upgrade Project will be received by LTMUA at the Administration Building,

69 Jefferson Lane, Logan Township, NJ 08085 until 10:00 A.M. prevailing local time on March 2, 2023. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
The project consists of an electrical system upgrade at the LTMUA Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) site, located at 69 Jefferson Lane, Block 3104, Lot 13 in Logan Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. It includes the removal of the existing motor control center (MCC) and installation of a new MCC (New MCC) in its place, modifying the existing 1200A Main Distribution Panel (MDP) including removal of an existing 300A CB and installation of a new 1200A branch circuit CB to feed the new MCC, redirecting all existing loads to the New MCC and related LP-A, removing all decommissioned conduit and wire related to the Existing MCC and related loads, supplying and installing a new room cooler and related air handler and ductwork, new lighting as indicated on the drawings, two (2) new 200 HP free standing variable speed drives to replace the drives at the existing aeration blowers, a new alarm telemetry system and redirecting the existing alarm pairs to the new alarm dialer and removing obsolete and non-functional components.
Bids must be made on the standard bid form in the manner designated in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with “Sealed bids enclosed”, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name the contract identified on the outside. If a bid is mailed, it should be sent to the attention of Mr. Christopher Whalen, LTMUA Superintendent, addressed to the LTMUA.
All interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening at the LTMUA Administration Building. Bids will be opened publicly on March 2, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time and read aloud.
There will be a site visit for this project at 11:00 A.M. on February 8, 2023 at the WRF Site (address – 69 Jefferson Lane, Logan Township, New Jersey 08085). Questions regarding the project must be made in writing and directed to the Engineer, Mr. Timothy D. Bradley, P.E., Kleinfelder Vice President (Fax 609-924-8831), and copied to Mr. Christopher Whalen, LTMUA Superintendent (Fax 856-467-8551). Answers to questions that are submitted in writing by 10:00 A.M. prevailing local time on February 15, 2023 will be provided to all potential bidders who have purchased Contract Documents.
Contract Documents may be examined and obtained from the Engineer (Kleinfelder, 150 College Road West, Suite 100, Princeton NJ 08540, phone: 609 924-8821) during regular business hours
9:00 am to 5:00 pm prior to the Bidding Date upon payment of a $100 non-refundable fee for each set, payable to the Logan Township Municipal Utilities Authority.
Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid or $20,000.00, whichever is less, must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Contracts for work under this Bid will obligate the contractors and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. An Affirmative Action Program is also required under New Jersey P.L. 1945, C.169, as amended by P.L. 1975, C.127.
All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless delayed due to the required approval of a government agency.
The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids, if it is in the public interest to do so.
